

Daniel Champa
Biography
Daniel Champa began training in Martial Arts at the age of 6. He first began training in the art of Tae Kwon Do under Grand Master Sung Black Belt Richard O’Hagan until the age of 13. During that time, he had competed in and won multiple Tae Kwon Do tournaments and eventually attained his Red Belt under Grand Master Sung Black Belt Richard O’Hagan.
In 2006, at the age of 20, Daniel began training in the art of Muay Thai under Dave Valaro and Master Nop. He also attained an Amateur Muay Thai record of 1-2 before retiring from competition in 2008. From 2009-2014, Daniel was an Assistant Trainer at Madama Jiu-Jitsu (2009), Tiger King Muay Thai (2010-2012), and Guardian Mixed Martial Arts (2012-2013). From 2018-2025, Daniel was Head Trainer at Hart’s Jiu-Jitsu (2018-2019) and Guardian Mixed Martial Arts (2024-2025).
From 2014-2015, Daniel returned to competition under the tutelage of Rami Ibrahim of Rami Elite and accumulated an Amateur record of 7-3 (2 KOs). He also is a 2 Time “Knockout of the Night” and “Fight of the Night” Winner for Gut Check Championship Series II, III, and VI and the Battle of Olympus IV Middleweight Tournament Champion.
Daniel has also studied the Ronin Grappling System (2006-2007) under Sixth Degree Black Belt Shihan Albert Haldenwang at All American Karate Academy and Judo (2012) under Renato Tavares Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt TJ Burke at Guardian Mixed Martial Arts. He has also trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Roberto Godoi Black Belt Wilson Reis at Tri-State Martial Arts (2008) and Roberto Godoi Black Belt Alexandra Bezerra da Silva at Rami Elite (2015).
